The lights are on, and now somebody is home. Ok, so it *should* be installed correctly. Every time I remove the USB drive and inserts a fresh USB with my files on it..... no Piratebox.

Hmmmm, wonder why. *insert original USB* TADA!

I don't know if I missed something, or am technically disinclined, but through the entire process, I was removing the original installation USB after a successful install. Leave it in and all works fine!

Maybe when I am done I can put together a complete idiots guide to installing Piratebox. :-) Aspergers can be a detriment at times. Hard to read between the lines. Miss the obvious sometimes. ( like not cracking eggs when it tells you to add three eggs to a recipe...... It didn't say CRACK them and add only the contents... What some people take as obvious, even a genius can miss. LOL! )

You have been a tremendous help, helping me troubleshoot, jogging my thoughts, nudging me in the right direction, helping me learn.

My big mistakes were:
1. when reinstalling, I didn't use a fresh copy of the piratebox install files on the USB drive
2. I didn't leave the installation USB plugged in to the piratebox.

But I'm happy now, and can share freely.

Perhaps while I have you, can I easily transfer the installation contents of the installation USB to a larger capacity USB? I used a small one and would like to use a much larger one for sharing.

Again, thanks for your help and patience.

Mike in Canada.
