I'm having a little problem trying to do the same. For some reason sftp is not working on my piratebox. It's working perfectly and I can login trough ssh and mess around without problems. But I tried WinSCP in W7 and FileZilla in Crunchbang and it doesn't connect.
Is there any option that enable/disable the sftp server?
