I don't think slow is too big of a problem. I imagine the initial push to the box would be the worst. But subsequent changes should be a bit faster. We'll admittedly only be working for a few hours each day so I don't think it'll be a huge deal. And if this turns out to be too slow then we could just as easily setup an ad-hoc network on one of the developers machines and probably get things going that way. But, given the idea of pirate box I figured anonymous code sharing might also be a neat feature. In our case we'll be locking the box down pretty heavily before using it.
