Making a backup of the complete PirateBox folder of your USB Stick will save all you changes in /opt/piratebox
Things like changing the wifi name, is stored on the firmware of the router.
To restore from a mistake in /opt/piratebox , copy over the PirateBox folder from your Backup, and you are fine.
To dublicate the box? Most uncomplicated way is:
- Run through the normal installation process of the PirateBox
- Run the Postinstall steps
- Copy over the PirateBox folder
- Change things like wireless with editing /etc/config/wireless
This is the "easiest" way. It is possible to create preprepared image files, which already contain your changes. Same can apply on changes directly on the firmware itself.
