Need help with re-installation on freshly restored buffalo router.

Tittle says it all, i had PB installed via old instructions before the 1.0 update.
what i have tried
opkg install [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de]
wget [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de]


I have also tried the instructions for manual installation:
I can add the source but once i do the opkg update I run into an error:

Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/attitude_adjustment.
Downloading [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de].
wget: can't connect to remote host (87.237.121.137): Connection timed out

 * opkg_download: Failed to download [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de], wget returned 1.
root@OpenWrt:~# ping google.com
PING google.com (173.194.37.37): 56 data bytes

64 bytes from 173.194.37.37: seq=1 ttl=54 time=17.826 ms

All times the download failed.

I tried this after a previous post i read concerning install on a tp-link wdr3600
I'm sure its something stupid i'm not doing.
