I know there has been many upgrades in the past couple years, but my Piratebox was in a place where I did not have easy access to it on a regular basis. Tonight I tried to upgrade it to the latest version, but the following happened:
root@piratebox:/mnt/usb# mtd write -r openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-squash
fs-factory.bin firmware
Unlocking firmware ...
Writing from openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-squashfs-factory.bin to firmware ...
Rebooting ...
Bus error
root@piratebox:/mnt/usb# ping 192.168.1.1
Segmentation fault
root@piratebox:/mnt/usb# exit
Connection to 192.168.1.1 closed.
It has been more than 45 minutes since that happened. I can ping the Piratebox and it responds but I cannot telnet into it. If I try to SSH into it, it accepts my password and then immediately closes the connection. I have not turned it off because I am afraid doing so might make things worse. Some help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I shut it off and turned it back on again. It booted up and seems to be working fine now. Can you please delete this post?
