I ran fsck on pbIMG_ws.img, which could confirm this is the filesystem with errors:

[wandson@wandson-laptop ~]$ sudo fsck.ext4 /dev/loop0

/dev/loop0: recovering journal

This time, upon running piratebox, there is no ext4 error log in dmesg:

[ 46.890000] br-lan: port 2(wlan0) entered forwarding state
[ 47.770000] Adding 32760k swap on /mnt/usb/external_fs/OpenWRT.swap. Priority:-1 extents:1 across:32760k

However, the error persists. I will just reinstall the piratebox.
Thank you anyway, Mathias. Keep the work!
