Re: Piratebox obtaining ip address

the process sounds fine to me, but maybe you made some mistakes while editing the configuration files.

We have a script called

/opt/piratebox/bin/install_piratebox.sh

which helps to change the hostname. It needs to be set inside the redirect.html as well.

Connect to your box via ethernet cable and a static IP Adress. Double check the entry in

/opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf 

. The hostname must be encoded (surrounded by " ) and it should not contain any blanks.
