Hi,
the answer about licensing is always difficult, but I think you can sum it up to those major facts:
- You can sell the boxes, but you have to say it is based on OpenSource software running OpenWrt with PirateBox running on it. PirateBox is GPL-2 and you find the sourcecode >here<
- You have to say, that you modified the source code, in terms of PirateBox, the modified UI is already a modification (I would count everything directly inside /opt/piratebox as a PirateBox-Modification). You have to license the changes and UI under GPL-2 or newer.
- You have to offer -at least- your customers the possibility to download the sourcecode
In addition my personal request: If you are making money out of it, give something back to the community- which I stress if you don't do the complete support on your own and rely on our forum's help.
This can be things like offering/giving help via forum to other people as well.
best regards
Matthias
