Also, I tried it both ways, plugged into my computer and plugged through the router. And, if it's plugged into my home computer, it can't get to the internet, because it has no connection to the router/internet to download whatever files it will need when it comes to that point.
Ok, I used a different computer (hope my wife doesn't kill me, it's her computer) and got a little closer, but when I try to "run mount_root" I get the response in the picture below, and when I try to use "passwd" to set a password, it tells me it's read only, and can't set a password.
