MR3020 Installation Help

Hello,

I am trying to install piratebox, and then library box and have hit a roadblock. I was following these steps:

I flashed the hardware with OpenWRT firmware modified by Matthias Strubel to include all needed kernel modules, MD5 Hash: 366a9ea0bb93c79efbfdab2171919fd6

I set the ip address and was able to log in and do a "ssh root@" however, the ping to google.com did not work. I went back to check/alter the gateway/ipadrr and since then I have been unable to communicate with the router via telenet and can no longer access it via failsafe mode.

Further, now when plugged in my network utility on the mac reads that the IP address is "169.254.87.197". I never set this as an IP address and nothing I do can connect to the router, failsafe mode or not- but it does come up with that IP address. When I try to connect to this address via telnet it says "connection refused"

Not sure how to move forward. Really urgently trying to set this up ASAP so if anyone could help, or if I was not clear enough please let me know!! (tu)(:D
