Hey guys!
Is changing the IP of my computer to 192.168.1.2 to avoid an IP conflict or is it used as a "keycard" to access the router through putty? I ask this because I'm having trouble manually changing my IP. Since I am on Comcast and they actually have me on an IP range of 10.0.0.x, I would imagine a conflict in the 192.168.1.x range wouldn't be a problem.
I'm actually on my second TL-MR3040. I thought I bricked my last one because after setting it up, I could no longer reach it through Putty...now I'm wondering if it was because I didn't setup my IP manually and it didn't recognize me.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
