I was hoping that my first post on this forum would be a report of success, but unfortunately I'm having serious troubles with getting my mr3040 started.
So here's the thing: I did my first try following the guide on piratebox.cc, but I couldn't get it to work. After some lurking and troubleshooting I managed to get telnet access in failsafe mode, got the openwrt firmware on my ubs stick and "mtd -r write xxx.bin firmware"d to at least try and have a functional openwrt router.
And this is where I'm stuck.
My pc keeps connecting and disconnecting from the router via ethernet and the leds are flashing in a repeating pattern (2 leds, 3 leds blink, 3 leds and then off). I tried to telnet to it and got access for brief moments before it disconnected again, other times it will just refuse the connection. Ssh is out of the question, obviously.
What do I do?? Is this normal behaviour during a firmware flashing?
The router is v2.3, and it is now on wisp mode. Help guys, I'm out of resources.
