Thanks DM,
I am currently using a 16GB Kingston DTSE9 although my first attempt was with an unbranded usb key i had lying around.
For anyone wondering how I reverted my 3020 back to the OEM Firmware.
- Boot in failsafe mode
- Type 'firstboot'
- Type 'reboot -f'
- Wait for it to reboot and all the LEDs to stand still
- Telnet into the box via 192.168.1.1
- Type 'passwd' and set a new password.
- This will enable SSH.
- Download WinSCP
- SSH into the box via root@192.168.1.1 and type your password.
- Download this firmware [q.gs] and place it in the /tmp folder
- Now via the command line interface SSH into the machine and type:
sysupgrade /tmp/TL-MR3020-V1-FW3.17.2-stripped.bin
- Wait around 3 to 4 minutes and your 3020 should be back to the factory firmware.
Upon further inspection last night it seems like the instation did not go very well. I had a bunch of files missing in the root and no WiFi whatsoever.
Going to try a fresh install now on the new USB key and i'll report back.
