Changing to static IP in Ubuntu:
After this connect your ethernet cable to your PB. Proceed with the failsafe guide.
Once you are logged in, proceed with editing the files according to the PirateBox installation guide.
(I would suggest you setting the IP address of your box to option ipaddr '192.168.1.x' of lan in
Note: that after setting the address the PB, subsequent logins must be made to this address.

After you have recovered your router in failsafe mode and installed the piratebox, you should set back the wired connection to "Automatic DHCP" mode
- [*] Click on the wifi icon in the top menu bar
[*] Select "wired" connection and edit
[*] Go to "IPv4 Settings" tab and set the method for manual with the following:
-address: 192.168.1.2
-netmask: 255.255.255.0
-gateway: 192.168.2.1
-DNS server: 8.8.8.8
After this connect your ethernet cable to your PB. Proceed with the failsafe guide.
