Hello all. I have been reading about the Piratebox for awhile, and wanted to make one...so when I scraped up enough money for a TP-Link MR3020 and a 16gig flashdrive, I ordered them and they just got here today.
I followed the directions at [daviddarts.com] and got into the web server in the 3020, went to flash it, flashed it, it said it was a success, it never refreshed so I refreshed the browser...and I can't connect to the 3020 at all in any way. Using PuTTY it just times out, trying to get to the 3020 the same way I did before flashing it just gives me an error in Chrome or Firefox that the webpage isn't available. I have it plugged in, the power light is lit, the reset button light is lit, and the ethernet cable light is blinking merrily away...so it's not bricked, it's doing something, but I have no idea what, and can't find it at all. I even used my Nexus 7 to try and find it on wifi and it's not transmitting there either, under any of the 3 switch positions. Of course, since I flashed it TP-Link's unlimited 2 year tech support can't help me. So, do I just throw it in the garbage and cry over my lost $35?
