No we don't have something like that, because it is uncommon that systems have that lot disc-space for all our files. The content of /opt/piratebox is designed to be in an image file. Sorry, that would need a complete rework of the scripts to make this optional.
So you tried to install the piratebox package to your root filesystem and you are sure you installed the 1.0 package? Because THAT shouldn't mess around with the usb stick file-systems.
