which howto do you follow?
Is the USB Stick plugged into the box and filled with the install folder?

if yes and your internet access is working, then please run

Language: PHP
cd /tmp
wget http://stable.openwrt.piratebox.de/auto/openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-squashfs-factory.bin
mtd write -r openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3020-v1-squashfs-factory.bin firmware

Then everything should start.
