Going to google.com in my browser takes me to piratebox home page!

So on the computer that I used to set up my piratebox, it seems to have taken over my browser as now whenever i attempt to go to google.com or bing.com , i am instead taken to the piratebox splash page.

this is when i am NOT connected to my piratebox either via ethernet or wifi.

Help!
