nodns has nothing todo with the DHCP functionality.
nodns only switches the resolv.conf entry to not point to itself anymore and use a given nameserver.
If you connect your PBx via ethernet to a wired network, the DHCP will stop working, because it prevents to disturb the connected network (and it starts to work after a while), if you disconnect.
To prevent this, you may break the bridged network between ethernet-port and wifi. It depends on your usecase if this is usefl for you.
