sorry for that question: Did you plugin the wired ethernet from mr3020 to your home router? can you ping 192.168.2.1 ? do you have a special configuration at your home router?

You can use the officially trunk image: [downloads.openwrt.org] But it seems, that they still not provide a separate image file. you can try the 1.0 image.. but no idea if it works

.ipk are package files which can be used by opkg too. The link above lists the available packages on openwrt... if they wouldn't use their own package manager, I would be very suprised ;) opkg install...
